Low Power Consumption

KYOCERA devices have optimal power control and are specially equipped to save power during idle phases, low power mode and sleep mode

Reduction of Standby Power Consumption

Power consumption has negative environmental impect yet multifunctional products, printers or networked computers are commonly left in standby mode.

• We make reduction of standby power consumption a priority - an important aspect of our environmentally conscious product development.

• We developed an energy-saving controller - allowing the most efficient and low-power network monitoring and power control on standby.

EC 801/2013 (Lot 26) information on networked standby (sleep) power consumption

Electric power consumption in standby and the default time to enter this mode have an important impact on the overall power consumption of the devices. In line with the EC 801/2013 (Lot 26) regulations the overview informs about the default timeout to enter the network standby (sleep) mode as well as its power consumption when connected to the stated interfaces.

Please find below a list of all Lot-26 complying products:

Reduction of Toner Consumption

Toner is the only consumable in our printers.

KYOCERA Document Solutions is driven to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases, one of the main causes of global warming, by designing printers which consume less toner while maintaining or improving image quality.

 • In 2009 the TASKalfa 500ci series incorporated a new toner that reduced toner consumption by 30% compared to conventional toner even at the same image density. It also produced images with finer definition and higher clarity.

• Original KYOCERA Toner saves you money and improve work surroundings for your staff and your devices' health.

Warm-up time reduced

Reducing warm-up time by almost half compared to that of conventional models

In the fixing unit, which melts toner to affix it to the paper, newly developed fixing technology utilizing a thin and small-diameter heating roller has reduced warm-up time by almost half compared to that of conventional models.

The new technology has enabled a reduction in the time required to recover the printer from standby mode and start printing, while at the same time saving energy.
